April 2015 Favorites

I have been wearing a lot of pink and rose gold this month. When it's so hot outside (literally scorching 100°F temperatures every single day), I tend to be less creative with colors. I'm more likely to stay within the safe and neutral zone and my favorites this month reflect just that!

NARS Dual-Intensity Blush in Adoration

April has been all about shimmery cheekbones and flushed cheeks for me and NARS Dual-Intensity Blush in Adoration has been my go-to! The pale baby pink highlighting shade is truly gorgeous and I simply can't get enough of how it looks on my skin. As for the hot pink blush color, I'm starting to really like applying it wet (you can use the Dual-Intensity formula dry or wet!) for a natural and glowy finish that is so perfect for hot summer days. Dior Rouge Dior Brilliant Lipshine & Care Couture Colour in Miss

I'm also all about quick and easy lip makeup so I've been using a lot of Dior Rouge Dior Brilliant Lipshine & Care Couture Colour in Miss! A truly beautiful coral pink appropriate for day and night. Buildable coverage, high-shine, long-lasting, and with a lip-plumping effect, there's nothing not to love about it! It has what I call a melted butter texture that basically just glides on. Plus, it's non-sticky! Only slightly tacky so that the formula stays on your lips a little longer than typical lip glosses. I like to pair it with soft smokey eyes like I did in this post.

Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Stick in Leila

If you are looking to buy your first Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Stick, I highly recommend you pick up Leila! If you like rose-gold copper on your eyes that is. Just look at the photo above, I've never seen such truly stunning shimmer complex before. A little bit of gold and pink in a gorgeous copper creamy base. The formula is absolutely top-notch; smooth, super pigmented, intensely sparkly, and with a cooling sensation during application! Kat Von D Immortal Lash 24 Hour Mascara

The funny thing about this mascara is that when I first saw the wand, I was certain it was not the product for me. I have super sparse lashes and this brush has super sparse bristles! I was ready to throw it away after my first try but for some odd reason, it seemed to coat my lashes and define them, each and everyone, to a perfectly defined look! I was amazed, and surprised! It's probably not the blackest mascara out there but it's truly budge-proof and non-clumping! :) Review coming up soon!

Laura Mercier Face Illuminator in Indiscretion

I've also been loving dusting just a bit of the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator in Indiscretion on top of my cheekbones, all over my eyelids, and on my décolletage and shoulders for a shimmery, glowy skin effect! The rose gold powder is utterly gorgeous and highly metallic. For days or nights that I know I'll be out for long hours and want my “glowy” skin to last, this is the highlighter I use. It has such great staying power even on its own (without a foundation base, for example). For a full review, check out this post.

I'd also like to mention that I'm still using and loving my Dior Nude Air foundation a lot (reviewed here)! I made small samples for my friends and all of them also love it so much that they plan to purchase a full-size bottle when they finish their sample! If you haven't tried it, I highly, highly recommend you do so ASAP! :)
