Phew… another month coming to an end huh? Summer is wrapping up and I'm not happy about it. And soon Fall will be here, and then before you know it, Winter! Ugh. I don't even wanna think about it. Anyways, here's my favorite items for the month of August 2013. :)
Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara
This thing keeps my lash curled and volumized like nobody's business! It doesn't clump with multiple coats and the best thing is it's very affordable! :) Honestly, it's been the only mascara I use since the beginning of Summer. Although, I'm not gonna lie, it still smudges here and there on hot and humid days, but for the price, I'm not complaining. See my full review here.
Kate Somerville Daily Deflector Waterlight Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ PA++++
Summer means sun, Summer means harmful rays, Summer means sunscreens with high SPF 50+ and PA infinite plus! Ok, you are not gonna find the infinite plus in any sunscreens but Kate Somerville's has come very close. ;) I've been an avid user of her new Daily Deflector Waterlight for a few months now and I'm loving it! With such high SPF and PA++++, I feel better to be out playing in the sun knowing my skin is fully protected. See my full review here.
Guerlain KissKiss Liplift Lip Primer
More than just a lip primer, this little gem is great for filling in lip lines, making lip colors go on easier and making sure it stays on through meals and snacks. The lip primer is beige in color and goes on beige on the lips. The texture is a mix between lip balm and concealer (more towards lip balm) and is very easy to spread using a fingertip or a lip brush. I sometimes double use it to mute my natural lip color so I can rock lighter shades of lipsticks. This is truly another great product and I will be reviewing it in full details shortly.
Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer
The. Best. Concealer. Hands. Down. I will never live without it. It literally covers every imperfection on your face, and I mean, literally. Creamy, opaque with excellent blendability. I reach for this little stick every. single. morning. :) The only downside – it's freakin' expensive! But it's something you might want to consider making an investment on. See why.
Benefit Cosmetics Hello Flawless! SPF 15
Seriously, I have people come up to me and say “your skin looks so nice today” when I wear this pressed powder foundation. The powder is so finely-milled and you only need a very thin layer to give the most flawless skin. The added SPF of 15 is nice but I wouldn't recommend skipping your basic sunscreen (of at least 50) underneath. It comes with a mini brush and a sponge so you can keep it in your purse for touch-ups. The only downside is, since it's so finely-milled, you tend to lose quite a bit of product during application if you use a large fluffy brush to apply.
I hope you enjoy my favorites this month. Let me know if you've tried any of these and whether they are your favorites as well. :)
