Review & Usage
Tom Ford Cheek Brush is one of the softest and most luxurious brushes I own. The elegance of this brush is apparent with the off-white bristles against the polished gold ferrule. The dark brown lacquered handle is ideally weighted, making the brush well-balanced and very comfortable to hold. Its white goat hair is plush, dense, and bouncy, so a light tap of the tip of the brush into the blush pan will generally collect more than enough of the pigment for an application on the cheek, especially if the blush is pigmented. For a blush that is pale or has poor color payoff, simply swirl the brush in the pan a couple of times to allow the pigment to grab onto the bristles, then apply.
The fluffy bristles feel supremely soft against the skin making blending an absolute dream. In fact, blending is not even necessary as the brush seems to do all the work by itself. Hard edges are magically diffused as you apply to guarantee a flawless, natural-looking result every time. I also like how the bristles do not splay out too much during application making it an ideal blush brush when precision placement of the blush is desired.
Due to its versatile shape, the Tom Ford Cheek Brush can also be used to apply face powder, bronzer, highlighter, as well as foundation. The bristles are compatible with powder, cream, as well as liquid formula. The white bristles rarely shed and surprisingly, clean beautifully without leaving any stains behind. I always dry my brushes in Brush Guards to retain their shape, and this one is no exception.
The Tom Ford Cheek Brush is a must-have luxury blush brush worthy of investment. Elegant, unbeatable performance, it is simply perfection. :)
Footnote
The image of this brush on most retail websites is dome-shaped, which is inaccurate. The brush head present in this post is the accurate shape, which is similar to the one on the official Tom Ford website.
This brush looks so pristine and plush!! I’ll have to check it out the next time I’m near a Tom Ford counter :).
Please do! Do you own any Tom Ford brushes, Carolyn? :)
It’s weird when you described this brush, I imagined the softness against my skin. lol. Whatta beautiful brush! I am SOLD!
Haha it’s a reeeeeeeeeeeeeally soft brush, Laarni!!! ;D
Ohh, geez. This brush is gorgeous. It’s definitely out of my price range (I’m cringing just imagining what the Canadian retail price would be, if the US one is $78!), but hey, a girl can dream :P
I think I didn’t eat for two days after purchasing this brush! Haha. So worth it, though. ;D
Hi Jaa,
This brush is on my wish list. I wasn’t sure if I should get a sigma or the TF one. The TF brush is just so pricey but you have talked me into getting the TF one. I may buy the love lust blush with it :)
Oh this brush would make the perfect companion to Love Lust, Grace!!! ;D
I’m going to poke myself blind or click on the “x” now. I know I should never ever see/feel this in real life, because I know I’ll want it right there and then!
I seriously have a feeling you will, Sunny! ;D It was love at first sight for me and I knew the instant I saw it I needed it!!!
I really want to try this brush but I just can’t deal with the price tag.
Totally understandable! :)
What brush guards do you use?
From thebrushguard.com! :)
A pure luxury product. I absolutely love how it looks and after your review I am sure it’s a darn good brush.
One of my best brush purchases. :)
Seriously $78? seriously?! what is happening? is this some sort of an investment plan?! :p It better be incredible for that cost! :p
It’s pretty incredible, Divya! Hehe.
It looks so dense , soft and sounds like pure luxury and yet again who wouldn’t want to buy after seeing such yum pictures
Lovely review Jaa and lovely pictures
Haha, thanks, Krithi! ;D It’s one of the softest brush I own (and most expensive, too!!)
Hehe, $78 – I think that’s how much a MAC 217 is here, LOL!
This brush looks so gorgeous (especially in that awesome top-down photo of the bristles) – the brush envy: I haz it :-P
Looks like the bristles are glowing!!!! Haha.
This brush always appeals to me, but the high price tag always puts me off. I do love white or off-white bristles on brushes because you can see how much product is on them and you know when they’re CLEAN! Love that!
I love love love white bristles! They just looks so pristine and soft. ^_^ Checking out your CC Cream review as we speak! Super intrigued!!
I have this brush too !
Love it !!! I like to use it with TF Blush in Flush!
Xoxo ❤️
Michelle
Flush is my favorite TF blush!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Yep, they both work perfectly well together! :D
So pretty!!! I’m trying to catch up on all my missed posts! This ones a beaut!! But your photos are prettier lol.
Haha thanks, Dee! ;D
