Dior My Lady Diorblush Glowing Color Cannage Palette Review & Swatches

I think I may have found my perfect spring and summer coral blush! It happens to come in the most beautiful presentation, too. I’ve been contemplating whether to publish this review due to the product unavailability but I figured it’s too pretty (and would be a crime) not to share! :)

Dior My Lady (007) Diorblush Glowing Color Cannage Palette is a limited-edition, Nordstrom-exclusive blush palette that went out of stock in the blink of an eye! I feel extremely lucky to be able to get my hands on one. Admittedly, I had my initial hesitation due to the price but I went for it knowing that a beautiful, “piece-of-art” item like this doesn’t come by often (speaking like a true hoarder collector, aren’t I?!).

The blush is housed in a signature Dior’s mirror-like silver palette with a full-sized mirror inside. Dior provides a velvet pouch to keep the palette protected for storage or travel but I’d think twice before taking this pretty on the go due to its hefty weight! I can understand the appeal of having a heavier palette equal to being more luxurious but this one is just borderline too heavy for what it is! ^_^”

A mini kabuki brush is also included and it has its own velvet sleeve, too! Though smaller in size, it actually is a nicely dense, good-quality brush that I see myself using often. The bristles seem to be made of natural hair that feels soft on the skin. It picks up and applies the pigment on the cheeks nicely but I still find a traditional blush brush to be superior in diffusing the color.

Dior My Lady features Dior’s intricate Cannage pattern on the surface. It is so beautiful in person and it almost broke my heart to swatch it! #007 comprises of 3 shades of coral:

  1. Light bronze-y coral with a shimmery finish
This is more of a “base” color of the blush. It provides a soft and subtle radiance to the skin. The shimmer pretty much disappears once applied and does not look or feel gritty on the skin at all. It doesn’t emphasize the skin’s texture or pores, either.
  2. Bright pinkish coral with a satin finish
This one is the most pigmented and dominates the overall tone of the blush. Its satin finish feels so silky and does not result in any fallout. I love this kind of bright pink-coral for its complexion brightening effect!
  3. Pale peachy coral with a matte finish
This shade is the least pigmented but it’s still pigmented enough to “ground” the other two shades and prevent them from becoming too bright. It feels slightly powdery and chalky on its own but it performs just fine when swirled together with the rest of the palette.

Although you can try applying each shade individually, I think it’s more practical and convenient to swirl everything together. On my medium skin, My Lady 007 appears a youthful shade of bright pink-coral flush with a satiny matte finish that is so natural and not overpowering at all. You can certainly build up or sheer down the color to your desired effect but I like to keep my cheek makeup light. It doesn’t leave my complexion as “glowy” as I had hoped but I can always supplement with a highlighter. For those who prefer their blush on the matte side, I think you’ll really appreciate this one!

The soft powder blends effortlessly on the skin and wears well throughout the day even when worn lightly. Below is how it looks on me. I used an angled blush brush to apply and diffuse the edges. It may look a little on the sheer side but that’s because I only applied just a little! You can build it up to a stronger coral if you wish to! :)

As I mentioned above, My Lady 007 is no longer available online but I encourage you to connect with your local Nordstrom to inquire about its availability. I do not have information whether it will restock but it seems very unlikely to me. I’ll update the purchase link accordingly if it ever becomes available on Nordstrom (or anywhere else) in the future! :)

Do you wear coral blush in summer? Do you prefer a matte or shimmery finish?

I only have 002 and 003, and missed out on 5, 6 and 7. I’m hoping we’ll be getting these here much later, but I’m just dreaming. So sad I missed these!

Oh wow. I understand why it is your favorite. Every single color in that blush palette separately and combined are stunning. I love that you also only need a bit for a lot of pigment. Makes a world of difference :D Maybe I can find it in stores over here.. and give it a try!

Unfortunately it’s impossible to apply each shade individually! I hope you get to see it in person at least. It’s beeeautiful! :)

If this were available here, I’d totally snatch it up as well! Such a stunner! It’s very pretty on you! I’m not big on matte matte blushes. I prefer something with a little more dimension, but not to the point that it’ll mix badly with my oilier skin later in the day!

I hope you get sent one soon, Sunny! After all, it’s your color — coral! ;D It’s not a flat matte by any means, it’s just not glowy or shimmery. :D

You lucky gal – I’m so jealous but equally happy you managed to grab one! I would not doubt if it were available in Belgium. Ne-uh, too pretty not to own! The shade is SO pretty as well, doubles the pleasure! :p

    Eeeeee so pretty!
Your pictures are always amazing, but these really show the color and texture difference. I’m sure many of use appreciate this. :)
I like all finishes in blush. I even like some glitters if it’s done properly. Something like My Lady would be flattering and forgiving on everybody, though! <3

Oh my goodness that is beautiful! It looks so fresh and springy on you!

I totally get you re: the “collector” comment, I have a bunch of Dior’s collector’s stuff from YEARS ago that I still haven’t had the heart to even touch. Damn you Dior for releasing so many gorgeous limited edition collector’s items.

I own 003 from last year (or was it longer?) I considered this so hard but in the end, there were other things I wanted to try and had to stay within the budget. I’m kind of regretting it though, sigh. :-)

I think this is something like $80 here, if it’s even available. I love the colours but not the rope pattern. I find it so difficult to splurge on Dior, lol.

    1. says: Jaa

Oh you don’t like the pattern?! How come? I love it so much but I don’t know if I ever want to spend $80 on it, though!

  9. I love love love it and ordered it when it was available online.
Although it was quiet expensive for a blush, I know I am using the other two shade I have very frequently so I could justify it.
Now it is waiting at a friend, when there are more goodies, she will send them to me at once :-)
When I see your review, I sighed happily. I knew I made the right choice lol.

You have new stuff coming in all the time. How do you keep track of things, Sara? It’d be too confusing for me! ^_^

I’m always adding things to my Nordstrom cart ( instead of using the wishlist). I added this the minute I saw it on Temptalia, then a few days later I removed it because, well, I don’t really need it. :p
But I’m glad it’s great quality, it’s really a collector’s item of sorts and as with most blushes, it will last ages. :)

My issues with these gorgeous products is that it breaks my heart to ruin the design! so I just stare at them. but it does looks completely lovely!

    1. says: Jaa

I was dying a little inside when I was swatching! T_T It seems to maintain its design pretty well, though! I think the pattern runs pretty deep into the pan! :)

  12. says: Meiko

Wow this is beautiful (and your face photo equally so). I’ve never tried any Dior blushes. Hehe I get what you mean about the feeling of swatching a pretty surface layer, feels like I’m ruining something in that first use :)

  13. Oh my! What a gorgeous blush! It looks great on you! Now I have to see if I can track this beauty down because I’m almost positive I need this in my life! Look at those swatches! Eep!
