Last month I was contacted by Jewlzie to pick out a product from their website to review. It was quite a task because there are literally thousands of products on their site just in the makeup category alone! A few excruciating hours later, I narrowed it down to a brand I haven’t tried anything from before: Kevyn Aucoin. I chose their The Creamy Glow as my first entry product to the brand because I could really use some extra “glow” to perk up my dull winter skin. Is it a love at first swipe? Absolutely yes! In fact, I love it so much that I’ve been using it exclusively since I received it! :)
About Jewlzie
Jewlzie is a mega online store that carries a variety of beauty products including haircare, skincare, and fragrance for men and women. Their headquarters are located in New York City and they offer free shipping worldwide (excluding France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, and Turkey). The website accepts both credit cards and PayPal. I notice that their prices are a little higher than the market prices for most products but considering a huge selection of brands and free shipping to any destination on the globe, it might be worth paying a little extra especially if you’re purchasing many different brands at once. If you’re interested in shopping with them, or have questions/concerns, or simply want to learn more about the company, visit their website at Jewlzie.com.
Now, let’s get back to our today’s subject of interest! Right, The Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Glow! :)

The Creamy Glow now comes in a square mirrored compact with a pushable pale gold bar as a release button (it used to come in round compact I believe). The exterior features a beautiful, sparkly red-to-brown gradient surface with the brand’s logo embossed in gold. There is a full-sized mirror inside as well as a clear plastic insert over the blush.
I chose Isadore — a bright pink. Yes, I know I know, another pink. Well, I didn’t know what to expect of the formula so I thought I might as well choose the color I’m most comfortable with and see myself wearing. Isadore looks scarily intense in the pan but can easily be sheered down to a wash of color on the skin. The blush is scent-free and provides a believable flush of color on the cheeks with a subtle lit-from-within glow that instantly brightens up your complexion! And it’s such a natural-looking glow, too, not one that is full of shimmer sparkles or glitter chunks!

The formula is lightweight, ultra creamy, and so pigmented! I literally only need 3 light dots on each cheek for a nice color payoff. It leaves a soft staining effect and I like that it allows me time to blend and build the intensity to what I wish without setting too fast. You can blend with fingertips but I prefer to use a stippling brush to work it in the skin for a softer finish.

The Creamy Glow leaves a non-sticky, non-greasy dewy finish on the skin. It adds a touch of radiance to the face without settling into pores or accentuating the skin’s texture. The pigment lasts all day on my combination skin. I have tried applying it different ways — on bare skin, over foundation, over setting powder — and I didn’t see much of a difference between each method. I’d always dust a thin layer of loose setting/finishing powder over it, though, to keep the color fresh and intact throughout the day.

Below is how Isadore looks on me! I hope you are able to see that subtle hint of illuminating glow on my cheeks! I didn’t use any extra highlighter/corrector/or concealer at all under my eye and upper cheek area. I simply applied Isadore over my foundation and topped it with a loose powder. I think the color looks fresh and quite flattering on me. I love! :)

I am very satisfied with the performance of Isadore and The Creamy Glow formula. My first product into the brand and I’m already looking for more! :) If pink is not your go-to color, there are some really nice coral, red, and bright fuchsia in the line-up as well. Seeing how wearable and comfortable the formula is, I might just have to grab a couple more soon!
Do you switch to cream blush in colder months? What kind of finish do you prefer your blush to be?

The color suits you really well, I like it a lot! You look great.
Thanks, Melissa! <3
OOO I love as well! Also, look at that top! You’re ready for your tropical life :)
I prefer blushes with a sheen, so basically shimmery that doesn’t look like shimmer if that makes sense. I like blushes without shimmer as well, but then the finish has to be a little glowy. I find matte blushes a little flat-looking on me, although it’s probably not something a highlighter can’t fix!
Haha my tropical life… it’s going to be REALLY TROPICAL there for sure. Like, steamy tropical. LOL! I’m with you on adding a bit of highlighter over matte blushes to keep them from looking too flat! :)
What a nice product. I have always wanted to try makeup from Kevyn Aucoin but haven’t yet. This blush is definitely a great pick and the color suits you perfectly and it looks flawless. I normally don’t like cream blushes that much but this one could change my mind!
Me, too! I have so many things I want to try from Kevyn Aucoin but one at a time right? :D
Why is that when you make photos of something I need to order it? LOL,
your blog is getting very dangerous!
Non greasy dewy finish sounds good too. I wished I could try before ordering though
Haha trust me, it’s unintentional! ;) Do you have a counter near you? I think it’s worth tracking down!
It looks great on you! The color is very refreshing. I am still brooding over cream blushes with that combination skin of mine.
I have combination skin, too, and I think it’s about finding the right formula that wouldn’t emphasize the oiliness. Have you tried any cream blushes before? I know the Chanel ones are good for oily skin since they are cream-to-powder formula. For these, I just set with a setting powder to set. :)
Love that fresh pink look on you! So perfect for spring and looks super natural.
Thanks, Sheila! Spring is fiiiiiiiiiinally here! I saw our chipmunk friends out of their nest for the first time today! And the first thing they did? They came to our balcony to store more food for next winter! Random but I thought I’d let you know. LOL!
That looks exceptionally natural in the photo. I really like it.
Thanks so much, Erin! I wasn’t expecting it to look so natural! :)
You look radiant, very fresh. It was a great pick.
Sadly, Germany is excluded, so i don’t see me shopping their website soon, but I reckon we have a Kevin Aucoin counter anywhere around, so I can get my hands on the pan.

Thanks so much! Yeah it’s a shame. I think it’s the custom thing. Hopefully they’ll figure something out soon!
How pretty!
I personally think Kevyn Aucoin was a true genius and passed away way too early. His brand could have been as big as NARS. It seems the brand is working well to continue his legacy, though. I have heard nothing but nice things about their makeup line.
Isadore looks very natural and fresh on you. I lack a good cream blush in my stash, so I would consider this range.
And thanks for telling us about Jewlzie! I just took a look the site and already spotted some great deals. Oh boy.. ;p
Haha have fun browsing/shopping! ;) Yeah, it was very unfortunate that he passed away so soon. This is my first product from the brand but I’m already looking to buy more! Great quality, reasonable price, and yes, I highly recommend his cream blush. :)
Ah, how fresh and glowy! I’ve been wanting to try more from the KA line and these blushes look like a perfect place to start :)
Thanks, Jen! I love the formula! So easy to blend to a natural finish! :)
Wow. Just wow. I already saw the results on instagram.. but wow. Looks even better on here!
Haha thanks! <3
I really like the colour, it’s lovely on you! I have the shade Tresbelle (in the old packaging, this one is so much sleeker) and I like the formula. I should use it more often!
Bust it out and use it tomorrow! It needs some loving, too! :)
Uh oh. I’m looking at By Terry blushes on that site. :x
I think you chose well and the blush looks so fresh and sweet on you! Love the lower lash action there, too. <3
The lower lashes really add that sweetness to the overall look! :) They have By Terry blushes, too? I have to look again! I hope the prices are reasonable!
I seriously looks good on you Jaa!
Thank you! :)
I just checked out their site. Interesting. As you say, the prices are a slightly above market but free global shipping? That’s a rare thing. And Isadore is beautiful on you! Very natural but still bright in a fresh way. Gorgeous.
Thanks, Kimmy! Yeah, I’m surprised to see they offer free shipping worldwide, too! International shipping usually costs more than their slightly higher markup anyway so I suppose it’s still a good deal!
this looks so pretty and natural!

Thanks! :)
AHHHH I love it! The colour is pretty, one of those pinks that instantly gives you a healthy, fresh look. It looks absolutely amazing on you as well! I really want to get the Candlelight highlighter at some point.
I recommend getting the super handy Contour Book since it includes the famous Sculpting Powder, too, as well as a few other gorgeous eye & cheek colors. Perfect for highlighting and contouring. They are much smaller in size than their regular pans, though, but you get varieties. :)
