Laura Mercier Azalea Lip Glacé Review & Swatches

Guess a girl I can never have enough milky pink lip gloss! This one is a little special, though, since it's my very first Laura Mercier Lip Glacé. :)

Laura Mercier Lip Glacé for Spring 2014 features 13 brand new shades ranging from baby pink, to coral, berry, and more. Since this is my first Lip Glacé, I thought I'd start off with a safe shade. I picked up Azalea (don't you just love the name?) — a lovely milky bubblegum pink. I don't know why, but I'm always drawn to this type of color. I think it's because I seem to always wear lip gloss over a lipstick, so I always go for a shade that would not alter the color of my lipstick too much.

Now, this is going to sound silly but can I just say I love how the doe-foot wand just sort of slowly and smoothly pushes itself out as soon as you twist open the cap without you having to pull it out. :D It's a little thing but it makes it a little more fun to use. ^_^

Lip Glacé is probably one of the smoothest lip gloss formula I have ever used. It goes on evenly, coating your lips with its highly moisturizing texture for the most comfortable wear. There is not even the slightest hint of stickiness, just a lot of brilliant shine that will leave your lips looking plump and healthy. It has a sweet sugary scent that is strong but will dissipate upon application.

Azalea applies semi-sheer and is somewhat buildable. The color is rich for such a milky pink shade, though the more you apply, the more it will settle into lip lines. It's not very noticeable from afar but if you look closely, the streaky finish will be apparent. I do get about 3-4 hours of wear time which is decent for a non-sticky lip gloss.

I am really impressed with the Lip Glacé. The consistency is such a pleasure to use and I like how such a thin layer of it can have such a big impact on making my lips appear fuller. I am definitely picking up more shades for sure but will have to think hard which colors. At $25 a pop, I can only dream of owning every shade! :)

How do you find Lip Glacé? Do you have a favorite shade?

Hey Jaa, I’m glad to hear this is a winner for you! I have Daiquiri, which is a gorgeous shade for spring/summer! I really like the Creme Brulee smell :p

I have a few minis of Laura Mercier’s lip glosses and love them! This might be a little too blue pink for my liking but is a very pretty color otherwise! I wish Laura Mercier was more easily available to me! They don’t make anything which is bad!

I agree. I haven’t really been disappointed with any of her products so far. Except the high price tag that I’m not crazy about! LOL.

What a pretty colour! *blows bubblegum bubble, except not because the paladin doesn’t approve of fun* :-P

Someday, they will invent a milky lipgloss that doesn’t settle into liplines at any thickness – and the citizens shall rejoice! :-D

You’ve sold me on LM Lip Glace! This color looks amazing on you. I’ll have to swatch these the next time I go to Sephora.

Wow this is such a nice pink shade that looks very wearable too. I haven’t tried many products from Laura Mercier but I know the products are very nice.
    Great review.

Thank you, Simera! I don’t have a whole lot of LM products myself but am slowly collecting them! I haven’t been disappointed with anything I’ve tried so far!

I really like the color and think it might work for me but it almost looks like it’s finding lip lines you don’t even have!
