March 2015 Favorites

Hello everyone from the other side of the world! So sorry Hello Jaa has been quiet the past few days but I’ve just been so busy with packing and traveling. I know I should be getting some rest right now considering I have only had maybe a few hours of sleep in the past 96 hours but I missed you guys and blogging too much! How about a quick Favorite post for now? I promise to resume my posting schedule as soon as things get a little more settled down! :)

YSL Vernis à Lèvres Plump Up Glossy Stain

YSL Vernis à Lèvres Plump Up Glossy Stain

I know it’s not easy to get excited about what is considered to be just a clear gloss but the new YSL Vernis à Lèvres Plump Up Glossy Stain is far more than just a lip gloss to me! :) It gives my lips a super glossy appearance that just lasts and lasts; it sets my lip color in place for hours on end; and it’s also incredibly hydrating! It is my absolute most favorite lip gloss at the moment! Read my full review here.

Dior Diorskin Nude Air Serum

Dior Diorskin Nude Air Serum

Dior Nude Air is truly a godsend product! It is so easy to use! With just one quick application with fingertips, it provides a nice, medium coverage that covers the majority of my small skin’s imperfections perfectly such as redness and enlarged pores around my nose. It is also lightweight and leaves a natural and beautiful velvet-matte finish that lasts the entire work day without oxidization or separation. Read my full review including a Before and After photo here.

Bite Pomegranate High Pigment Pencil

Bite Pomegranate High Pigment Pencil

And on days (or nights) that I want my bold, red lips to last, Bite Pomegranate is what I grab! It has a perfect blend of coral and red that together brightens up my complexion (and mood) in an instant! It applies with a gorgeous velvet-matte finish that sets into a matte later on. If you are looking for a red color that is easy to wear (no lip liner needed literally!) and truly lasts, Pomegranate is your answer! Read my full review right here.

Dior My Lady Diorblush Glowing Color Cannage Palette

Dior My Lady Diorblush Glowing Color Cannage Palette

Dior My Lady (007) blush is a trio of 3 gorgeous cheek colors and finishes. It has a shimmery bronze-y coral, a satin pinkish coral, and a shimmery peachy coral that once swirled together creates a beautiful, and youthful, coral cheek flush! I love to wear it lightly on most days but the color can certainly be built to a strong coral with ease, thanks to its superb color payoff. Can we also talk about the signature Cannage pattern here? It’s literally and utterly beautiful; truly a piece of art. See my review and swatches of each shade here.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

Have you ever used a product that you felt meh in the beginning but later on fell absolutely in love with?! It is this Urban Decay Perversion mascara in my case! Now I just can’t seem to stop using it! I love how intense the black formula is and how it doesn’t flatten or weigh down my curls. It still doesn’t give me the volume I wish for nor does it stay smudge-free without a lash primer, but other than that, I think it makes my lashes looks pretty nice and fluttery with zero clump when layered. No crunchy or unnatural feel! I have an old review that needs to be updated soon right here. :)

And that’s a wrap! What do you think about my picks this month? Did anything pique your interest? I have so many exciting products to share with you in the upcoming posts so please stay tuned! :)

Hi Jaa, so glad you made it safe to Thailand, get some rest and take it easy! We will still be here! But I sure missed you :-)

Dior Nude Air is definitely the best product of March, hands down!

    1. says: Jaa

True that! It’s definitely one of my most exciting purchases of the month! :) And thanks – I miss you lots, too! I’m slowly returning the comments here and soon (hopefully) I’ll be able to comment on you girls’ blogs again! :)

Hey girl, whoa I can’t believe you’re already in Thailand! Best of luck getting everything settled ASAP! I kinda wish I could lay my hands on the Dior blush, but I might just wait for the ones from the summer collection :)

    1. says: Jaa

Thanks, Sunny! I cannot believe I’ve been here for almost 3 weeks now and I still haven’t settled down! Each day goes by so fast. I still haven’t gotten around to building a new light box yet. LOL So many things to dooooo. :)

Thank you so much!!! <3 It's a big change for sure and hopefully one I won't regret! I'm already missing free Nordstrom and Sephora shipping, though! Haha

Ah the Dior My Lady blush. I have 002 and 003, and just ordered 006 and 007. I’m bummed I missed 005, and I’m beginning to wonder what happened to 004!

  5. says: Meiko

Wow love the detailed photography particularly of the lipstick! Already when I saw the first photo of the trio I was dying to know what that middle red thing was! Hope you’re safe travelling and have good rest!

    1. says: Jaa

Hehe I love that shot as well! One of my favorites! :) Thanks so much, Meiko!! I’m taking rest whenever I can but sadly there’s just so much to do in a day and I’ve only been getting maybe about 4-5 hours of sleep a night! Boo!

  6. says: Jen

All of these are totally gorgeous picks! Pomegranate looks stunning and I so want to try the new plumping Glossy Stain :)

    1. says: Jaa

Oh no! I wonder why they don’t have it at all counters across the globe! Such a stunning piece! Can you order it online or the tax/custom/hassle would be too much?

      1. says: Tally

I actually settled down for the Coral Sunset from the tie dye collection. It looks similar when mixed but with slightly more shimmer.

I’ve been contemplating to try this Nude Air but I am also thinking of getting Diorskin Star Studio! I think I need help! lol. How are you, Jaa? How’s the weather in Thailand? :D

    1. says: Jaa

Buy one now and get the other one later! ;) No need to stress out! LOL! I’m doing great! Thanks so much for asking! The weather is CRAZY HOT here arrghh! LOL

  8. Oh I didn’t expect a post so soon, good to hear you got to Thailand safe! I hope you settle in fast. Great favorites. These photos, Jaa, whew! That is pure beauty porn right there.

    1. says: Jaa

Thank you as always, Melissa! I can’t wait for the day I have everything settled down! I didn’t expect this move to be so tiring physically and emotionally! LOL! Miss you!!

  9. Only you would move to the other side of the world, not sleep for days, and then write a post apologizing for it! You are too sweet! Please, take your time to get some rest and get settled in! How was your trip? Can’t wait to hear MOAR!
Beautiful selections, my friend. That Dior blush is INSANE. And yes, I’ve definitely had plenty of products that started out just okay, or even “I don’t think I like this,” that I ended up falling in love with! I’ve also had plenty I loved on day 1, only to have them end up in Lemonville as time passed, lol!
So glad you’re safe n’ snug in Thailand! Lots of love!

    1. says: Jaa

Haha I just feel guilty for some reason that I can’t update my blog as often as I would like! :) I suppose that GA Lasting Silk has just landed itself in your Lemonville this month huh?! ;D

And Happy Anniversary, Kristen! I wish you two a super wonderful and magical trip! <3

I hope you’re settling in and getting some rest girl! Awesome favorites and photography as usual! The YSL Plump Up Glossy Stain is on my list! xo

i totally hear you when it comes to traveling exhaustion. i recently came back from a month long trip through asia and a week and half later i’m still jet lagged and useless :P

YSL Glossy Stain definitely sounds intriguing. is it more hydrating than its colored siblings? do you have their Tint-in-Oil? if so, how do the hydrating levels compare?

    1. says: Jaa

Wow that sounds like a fun trip! I wouldn’t mind the jet lag at all as long as I get to travel and see different places! What countries did you go to?

The YSL Plump Up Glossy Stain is much more hydrating than their colored ones! :) I haven’t tried the Tint-in-Oil yet, sorry!

i was in shanghai, taipei and tokyo! i’ve been wanting to go see the cherry blossoms for years now and finally got to see them!

    1. says: Jaa

So jel!!! At least now I live a bit closer to them than when I was in the US, though. It’s only a matter of time (and $$$) now! ;)
