March 2017 Favorites

My favorites this month include new items and some old loves that I rediscovered from my stash. I love the excitement of trying new products but once in a while, it is comforting to go back to your old favorites that you know work and used to love. I’ve made it my mission to try to incorporate items of the past in my current routine so that they get some love, too. For this month, I rekindled with my collection of MAC lipsticks; some of them became instant loves all over again but before we get into that, let’s start off with the new stuff first!

Benefit GALifornia Blush

I know I’ve been raving about the Benefit GALifornia Blush a lot this past month but I can’t help it. It is just so lovely! A wonderful balance of coral and pink with ultra-fine shimmering gold particles mixed in for a gorgeous, effortless glow making it a perfect blush for summertime. Pigmented with top-notch performance, this blush deserves to be in everyone’s blush stash! See how it looks on me here.

Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder

For setting powder, I’ve been using this Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder exclusively this month. I like the way it perfects my makeup without making my complexion appear flat matte. It achieves the skin-like finish by having the perfect amount of light diffusing particles to retain the luminous, airbrushed look. It doesn’t crease or emphasize dry patches and fine lines. Talc-free for an added bonus, plus perfectly safe for my sensitive skin. Full details are right here.

Tom Ford Brow Sculptor

I’m picky when it comes to brow products. The color and formula will have to be just right. It can’t have any red in it, and it can’t be too waxy. Tom Ford Brow Sculptor strikes a perfect balance of being waxy and powdery allowing the pigments to grab onto the skin and holding brow hairs in place all day. 04 Espresso is a perfect dark brown that compliments both my brows and my hair. The calligraphy-style tip also allows me to draw short and long strokes, thin or wide with ease. See how it looks on me here.

M·A·C Lipsticks

My MAC lipstick collection has grown quite a lot since I did my compilation post back in 2013. I didn’t realize I own so many nudes that I used to love. Blankety, Ravishing, Shy Girl, to name a few. Blankety is a soft pink beige, Ravishing is a peachy coral, and Shy Girl is a coral beige, all of which are compatible with both everyday makeup as well as nighttime looks. I plan to delve into the medium pink and coral tones this coming month! See the compilation post here.

Sephora 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation

It’s hard to pinpoint what exactly that I love most about this particular foundation. Nothing really stands out but I just love the way it perfects my skin. The cream-like texture thins out and blends like a dream making my complexion look so smooth, even, and less textured, all while being lightweight and comfortable throughout wear. It may not last 10 hours as advertised but with primer/setting spray, it comes pretty close! See the look I created using this foundation here.

I hope you enjoyed my picks! Let me know if you have used any of these products. What are your favorite items this month?

Feel like I should have the Benefit GALifornia blush considering I’m a SoCal girl, born and raised, but I have too many blushes as it is xD
