As always, I’m jealous ;-) You don’t get free samples here form anything unless you either beg, know one of the MUAs or get a GWP. I was floored by how much random stuff (in sachets) got tossed into my bag when I was at the Sephoras in Paris and Carcassonne!
That’s one thing I like about buying cosmetics here. You get sooo many samples for free. I’ll totally miss it if I ever go back to Thailand. :( There, just like you said, you either have to know the MUAs, beg, or get a GWP. Kinda sad, actually.
It is, really. Silly, too – don’t they want people to get to know/get hooked on their products in every country they sell suff in?
Why would you give out samples for free when you can sell them and make money off of them?
And I’m not talking about the brand, I’m talking the SA’s/MUA’s who work for the brand. They sell samples. Even when “Not for Sale” is clearly printed on the packaging.
A very common scenario in Thailand, unfortunately. :(
Grr…that’s so shady! It’s because that’s extra money they can make on the side, independently of the company. I mean, I can’t know what the pay is like working as a brand/counter MUA there (or here, actually), but as a consumer, that’s terrible!
Nice GWP!
But you have to spend quite a bit, though!
