Hi everyone! How was your Black Friday? What did you buy? I didn’t buy a whole lot myself but I may be looking at the Cyber Monday deals after I’m done writing this post. I just love the holiday season. Good deals left and right! :)

Olivia Palermo x Ciaté London Smokey Suedes Eye Palette

Olivia Palermo x Ciaté London Smokey Suedes Eye Palette

This has got to be a new record for me. Jaa has been using the same eyeshadow palette for one month straight! Say what?! :) Well, this palette is just that good. The colors, the formula, the performance, the wear time, even the price, everything is just superb! Smokey Suedes Eye Palette is full of beautiful, wearable neutrals with a little bit of gold, olive, and plum colors thrown in for a little bit of variety. All the colors are crazy smooth to the touch and take little to no effort to apply and blend. For everyone who’s into eyeshadow palettes, this one is a must-have! :) I have a full review including a simple eye look I did using this palette here.

NARS Albatross Lip Gloss

NARS Albatross Lip Gloss

NARS Albatross is one of my favorite highlighting blush powders (review) so I was glad to have a matching lip gloss in my collection. This is an old formula, though, but luckily it doesn’t have that plastic-y scent NARS’ (old) lip glosses were known for. Albatross lip gloss is a clear gloss with plenty of ultra fine, pale gold shimmer that once applied makes your lips look plump and healthy. The texture is not gritty or drying at all even after the gloss has worn off. I like to layer it lightly (due to the slight tackiness) over a lip tint in the middle part of the lips for added hydration and dimension.

Benefit Chachatint Cheek & Lip Stain

Benefit Chachatint Cheek & Lip Stain

Wow! I should have bought this tint a long, long time ago! I didn’t expect to like it this much when I purchased it (earlier this month) but wow, it totally blew my mind! I love how the consistency is not super runny like the Benetint or Posietint making it much easier to apply. Chachatint is a gorgeous coral (mango) color that is extremely pigmented! One layer tints and stains my pigmented lips nicely without having to add more. The best part is it just lasts and lasts! By evening time, my lips still have a hint of coral stain and that says a lot about its longevity! I love to layer NARS Albatross Lip Gloss (see above) over it to give my lips an extra oomph!

La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream

La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream

I have reviewed the Moisturizing Soft Cream here. I loved it but I love this original Moisturizing Cream even more! The texture is thicker and it takes a little longer for the cream to absorb than the Soft formula. No big deal, though, because I notice that my skin seems to love the original formula much, much more. My skin feels extremely soft after every use and I barely have any dry spots on my face anymore. My makeup goes on smoother and my complexion overall just seems to be in a better, softer, and healthier condition. I’m going to finish this deluxe-size jar soon and may have to bite the bullet and purchase the full size because it’s so worth it!

VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream

VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream

Eye cream of the month (and many more months to come) goes to this uber expensive VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream! I have a full review right here but basically it’s a luxurious eye cream formulated to combat fine lines and wrinkles. It has a richer and thicker consistency than most eye creams and does take slightly longer to absorb but that’s also how it’s able to provide long-lasting hydration. It has a nice, subtle cooling sensation, too, which I love! It works wonders to help reduce the appearance of fine lines near my eyes as well as keep the skin plump and hydrated. Using it in combination with the O2M Oxygen Eye Mask gives me the best result!

I hope you liked my picks this month! Don’t forget to share with me your favorite items, too!

My skin just loves it! I purchased the 60 ml jar a few days ago. Have to say it’s the most expensive skincare item I’ve ever bought myself! It better lasts a long, long time. LOL!

Oh and a quick follow up… The Somkey Suedes… how similar are the colors to Naked 3 because several of the colors almost look identical. I saw these at my store being used in a makeover on Sunday and they looked really nice!

Ooh that Ciate palette looks so pretty!
I made 3 orders during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday madness: a bunch of products from Kiko with 30% off, Lorac’s Pink Champagne palette that’s an Amazon exclusive (it already arrived – with the blush chipped…), and Cover Fx concealer with salicylic acid (because I’m having this horrible bout of cystic acne) on Dermstore, but it’s on backorder, hoping to get it soon.

LORAC has an Amazon-exclusive palette?? I’m so out of the loop! LOL! Cystic acne is the worst kind. I’ve been battling with it for the past 5 years. Doing much better now but the old ones left some pretty nasty scars all over my cheeks and chin. Le sigh.

Ahhh so many deals…my wallet is hurting after November. Me and my brother braved the crowds on Black Friday to buy my parents a new TV for 50% off. Other than that I purchased a couple of skincare items at katesomerville.com for 30% off. I am still waiting for my $25 off coupon from Sephora so I can get that OP Ciate eye palette.

That’s very nice of you and your brother! :D I just got my $25 off coupon from Sephora and am trying to decide what I should splurge on. I’m lemming the new Too Faced Bon Bons Palette! :) What about you?

      1. says: Kelly

I used my coupon on the Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil because none of my local Sephoras carry the OP Ciate palette in-store. I ordered it online though :-) The Bon Bons Palette is tempting.
