Happy Halloween, everyone! Are you doing anything fun tonight? What are you dressing up as? I'm probably going to just throw on some black clothes and black lipstick and black eye makeup. I'm pretty uncreative this year but I still want to go out and enjoy the craziness tonight! I live in a party town after all so it should be fun! :)

Foreo LUNA for Sensitive/Normal Skin

Foreo LUNA for Sensitive/Normal Skin
Foreo LUNA is hands down the best facial cleansing tool I've ever used to date! It's very gentle but still effective at deep cleaning and exfoliating the skin. It has helped keeping my breakout under control while gently buffing away dead skin cells to reveal a brighter and smoother complexion. It has silicone nubs on one side for exfoliation and silicone ridges on the other for anti-aging purposes. You can adjust the speed of the T-Sonic pulsations, too! It has amazing battery life and you'll never have to replace a brush head! For a complete review, visit this page.

La Mer The Renewal Oil

La Mer The Renewal Oil
Everyone loves a good multipurpose product! Latest from La Mer is The Renewal Oil that you can use alone on bare skin for a boost of hydration or use in conjunction with other skincare products to enhance absorption. You can even mix it with your favorite makeup products to facilitate application! The formula contains all kinds of good oils but still feels extremely lightweight. It doesn't take long to absorb into the skin. You can use it on your hair, nails, and body, too! To see how I've been using (and loving) the oil, check out my complete review here.

Sephora Outrageous Volume Dramatic Volume Mascara Waterproof

luxolaxsephora-10-wm
This mascara just blows me away every time I use it! I didn't expect to like it at all because it has a wet formula. I thought it was going to smudge really badly but I was so wrong! Once dry, this mascara will not budge! Even in heat and humidity, it's able to stay put all day and all night until removal time. What's more, it holds curls like crazy! It's rare for me to find a mascara that doesn't weigh down my thin lashes but this one truly keeps my lashes curled throughout wear. The budget-friendly price tag makes me love it even more. I'm so impressed that I will keep repurchasing it until they stop making it! :) For a full review, visit my Luxola x Sephora Collection post here.

Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo in Moodlight

Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo in Moodlight
Tom Ford Moodlight aka my highlighter of the month! :) It features two full-sized illuminating powders; one is a beautiful ivory white with a soft, delicate sheen to enhance a soft, naturally luminous glow to the face perfect for daytime wear and a golden peachy shade with a strong metallic finish to add a soft, warm candlelight glow perfect for nighttime wear. So beautiful, so versatile. You can also mix both shades to customize the color and sheen as desired. This is yet another amazing product by Tom Ford that I think truly worth checking out! Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Sunscreen

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Sunscreen
As for setting powder of the month, it is this beautiful Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour! What amuses me about this powder is the fact that it is so sheer; it has barely any coverage but somehow it provides such a beautiful yet (super) subtle radiance to the face that I was complimented by my friends several times! The powder is incredibly finely-milled and mattifies the skin instantly and beautifully. It also has one of the best scents I've ever smelled in a makeup product! To see it in action, head over to my review on this page!

And that's a wrap for my favorites this month! I hope you enjoyed it. If you go out tonight, have fun and stay safe! :)

I don’t celebrate Halloween like most people in the USA do. Culturally speaking, my ancestors used the day to celebrate the last of the harvest and communicate with the dead as they believed the veil between the afterlife and this plane were thinnest today.

Then comes along the catholic church and turns it into a Christian holiday. That then somehow became vilified by modern day religious people.

For me, I prefer not commercialize it or support the vilification of a belief system. I use the day to reflect on family, bounty, and the beginning of winter. If I had a fire, I’d light it, make some mulled apple cider and throw a little dinner party for my family and friends.

This year I’m making coq au vin and scalloped potatoes as it’s just my husband and I. *puts away soap box*

I was totally going to get that mascara until I found out the Sephora brand tests on animals :(
I’m not 100% militant about it but I prefer to be as cruelty-free as possible!

Ahh thanks for sharing the story, Erin! See what I mean when I said I always learned something new from you! I didn’t end up doing anything too crazy, though. I hung out with my musician friends at a bar and that’s about it for my Halloween night. Pretty mellow! :)

Yeah… everything La Mer is SO expensive! :) But their products are really great though, at least on the few I’ve tried. :)

I’ve been so curious about the Foreo Luna ever since I read your review. My skin cannot tolerate the Clarisonic for more than 10-15 seconds even at the lowest speed >__<

I've never bothered to check out Sephora mascaras but at $12 it's definitely a budget option to my favourite Lancome!

I don’t remember the last time I used my Clarisonic! I used to love it because it cleans so well, and I thought that’s what my acne-ridden skin needed. But at the end, using the Clarisonic didn’t really help, stop using it did. :)

I’d love to hear your thoughts once you try the Sephora mascara!

I actually looked for the Luna when I visited Sephora last week and they didn’t have the one you reviews with the ridges in the back for anti-aging, the ones they had all had larger silicone knobs on the other side. I was hoping to test the anti-aging massage :p
