On My Radar & What’s New: June 2015

  • Such mixed reviews on the YSL Touche Éclat Blur Primer! Sounds like you’re either going to love it or not so much. I really wanted to try it myself but one review stated that it feels like one of those Smashbox silicone-y primers. My skin didn’t react well the last time I tried the Smashbox one so I’m really torn right now. Have you tried it? What are your thoughts?
  • I’m not hesitating to try the YSL Touche Éclat Blur Perfector, though! Such gorgeous-looking product. I think it’s meant for use without or over foundation and I’m really curious how it would help reduce shine and conceal pores. I wonder if has a balmy texture that dries down to powder?
  • The description of the Butter London nail polish: “Patent Shine 10X Sweets Nail Lacquer” really grabs my attention big time! 10X? Well, one way to find out! ;D
  • I’m a big fan of Dior Nail Glow and this Ombre Effect Top Coat sounds like a sister version of it. The instructions on creating the ombre effect seems easy enough so I think I’ll splurge on this one!

What’s on your radar this month? :)

Hey Jaa, I reviewed the Dior liner today and I can’t say I’d recommend it. Maybe read a few more reviews before you make up your mind!

I’d love to try the illuminating version of TE but I need to find somewhere with BR10. B10 might be ok for summer when I have a hint of color but it was a bit too yellow for me. It cancels out the red bits but on the non red bits it was TOO yellow :)

I like the idea of the mini collection but I wish it had another dark shade instead of Rose or Honey. Honey will not work for me I think and I never cared much for Rose when it came out!

That sounds frustrating! I suppose you can use extra help from correcting primers but that would mean another step! I think I’m going to just wait for the bigger holiday set, though. The more colors, the better. ;D

I actually quite like it, Anne! It separates my lashes so well and seems to stay on long! Doesn’t volumize much, though. It has more of a natural finish on me. It’s been a while since I last used it. Will have to revisit my stash! Hope it’s still good. LOL

Oh the pink YSL compact is finally avail in the U.S.! I am still confused, though. I became to really wanna try this after reading a review of a UL blogger, but then she sounded like this is a special kind of finishing powder?? When I checked recently on Nordstrom, they only had bronzers of this.

Anyway, always flawless picks, Jaa! :)

I know right? It’s confusing to me as well but it makes me want to try it even more. LOL! At first I thought it was just a balmy primer then I learned that it’s actually a setting product that you use over foundation (or in place of)! Color me SUPER intrigued!

  4. Ohhhh please let me know if you try the They’re Real in blue. I love that mascara but so many of the colored formulas really don’t show up well on my lashes. Also, butter polishes are my fav! Would love to try this new shiner formula!

Will do! Same here. Most blue mascaras are not pigmented enough to show up on my super black lashes. LOL Hopefully this one will! :D

  5. Oh no, so many pretty products! I’m trying to avoid stores lately now the boyfriend and I have bought our own place. So nothing on the radar for now. Although the Wende’s Contraband Palette is smiling at me big time ^^

Congratulations on your new place! It is super fun and exciting being in a new environment! Especially one that is your own. :D I think I’m going to hold off on the Wende’s Contraband palette for now because I think I’ll like the Naked Smoky one a bit more. The launch date couldn’t come fast enough obviously. LOL

Haha yeah… what’s stopping you?! Just buy it already! ;D Maybe you already have too many palettes? Or maybe you need to keep on reading/seeing more reviews. One of them is bound to push you over the egde!

I’m tempted by the YSL blur stuff but waiting for the powder version to come out in fall! I think that’s what I’d end up using the most. I would have loved the primer a few years ago when I liked primers.

Ooooo the powder version coming out in fall?!!! I.Must.Get.It then!!!! I already bought this one but whatever, I’ll buy the powder one, too. LOL I have no self control whatsoever! :(
