I have another Pixi product to review today. I picked this up along with the Endless Silky Eye Pen Kit at Target last week. While I'm in love head over heels with the Endless Silky Eye Pens, I'm afraid I can't say the same for this Extra Eye Bright Liner.

First of all, I wasn't really looking to buy another inner rim eyeliner – I have way more than plenty! But do you know why I bought it? You bet it's the packaging! Just look at it – the pastel minty green and pink color combo with shiny rose gold accent. So unbelievably pretty (hence, a lot of packaging photos in the image gallery above!) I would be out of my mind not buying it. I know it's such a superficial thing to do but packaging design is my weak spot. I admire Pixi for paying such close attention to details. And see, it worked. It totally sucked me in. :)
Now, onto the liner itself…
It is basically a retractable twist-up style eyeliner to be used on the waterline. The color is described as a combination of white, pink, and lavender but mostly it's just pale pink. It is completely matte without any shimmer. The texture is reasonably creamy and it applies evenly without tugging. The pink color is a good alternative to traditional white that usually looks quite harsh and unnatural. This eyeliner instantly makes my small eyes appear bigger and brighter. It definitely enhances the whites of the eyes making you look more awake and refreshed. It is marketed as waterproof but that doesn't seem to improve the lasting ability any more than you'd expect from a typical inner rim eyeliner. On me, it lasts a good first few hours and then gradually fades away throughout the day. By the end of the day, I barely see anything left. But as I said, this is quite typical for most inner rim eyeliners. For a longer lasting result, I typically use a Q-tip to blot away any excess water on the waterline first, then apply the liner. The clean, dry canvas seems to help extend the wear by a few more hours.
Overall, this is a decent eyeliner for use on the waterline to brighten up tired, sleepy eyes. It is one of those quick “pick-me-up” products that is easy to use and doesn't require too much time and effort to get good results. If pale pink is not quite the color you are looking for, try their regular Eye Bright Liner which I believe comes in nude/beige color. I'm not sure how it would perform compared to this one but I'd think it'd be comparable, or would look even more natural at least.
