OK, I know I'm a little late to the party (as usual) and I believe every beauty blogger on earth has probably already reviewed this product but here it is anyway. At least I'll make mine short and sweet!

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer (US name) or Apocalips (UK name) is essentially an incredibly pigmented liquid lipstick that offers glossy shine upon initial application and sets to a smudge-able satin finish that is non-sticky and non-tacky. It offers a full, opaque coverage, while being lightweight, in one pass and I absolutely adore the smooth and creamy application that does not emphasize dry patches. The shade that I have is called Nova which is a bright bubblegum pink – super cute and totally my kind of color.
The glossy shine does not last long, however. Within an hour, it's pretty much gone from my lips and the color finally dries down to a matte finish that feels slightly drying. It has no staining power of any kind so don't expect it to last the entire day. Most of the color pretty much fades unevenly by lunch time so to improve the longevity I apply a lip primer/lip balm underneath to help extend the wear and once the shine fades I top it with a clear balm or gloss to remedy the drying feeling. Voilà! I mean, for the price and a wide selection of lovely colors, I'm willing to work with it! :)
A side note on the packaging, I'm loving the small little “scoop” in the middle of the doe-foot applicator. It brings out a perfect amount of product plus a little excess enough to cover the entire lips! The product has the same familiar artificial watermelon scent like all Rimmel lipsticks, too, which in contrary to most people, is a scent I find sweet and pleasant. It does not linger, though, so no worries if you aren't a big fan of the scent.

(Pardon my tired face, it's been a long day!)
