Review & Usage
MAC 209 Eye Liner Brush, 210 Precise Eye Liner Brush, and 211 Pointed Liner Brush are small synthetic fibre brushes primarily designed for detailed work such as lining the upper and lower lid line. They can be used with any type of product — cream, liquid, gel, or powder. I sometimes use them to “smudge” my eye pencil as well. Using the very tip of the brush will create a very thin and precise line, then you can angle the brush and use the side to draw a thicker line. All three of them feature wood handles and nickel-plated brass ferrules. I’ve had these brushes for a few years now and they seem to wash well, dry fast, and don’t lose their shape over time.

Other note
Great for creating a winged out look! You can also use it to conceal spots, too!
Gives the most natural look. Creates an illusion of naturally full lashes without being obvious.
I love using this one to smudge my pencil eyeliner and drawing thick lines!
Whoa, thanks for another epic brush post, Jaa! The only eyeliner brush I use is the Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush. I like how you can create a thick OR thin line at will. I guess it’s the closest to 211, but it looks softer!
You’re welcome, Sunny! :D I like comparing things. LOL. I have a travel-size version of the BB one but I don’t reach for it too much for some reason. Maybe it’s too small or something. Hehe. :D
drool fest about your brush collection Jaa
I’m a brush fanatic. ^_^
Wow Jaa, you analyse them so scientifically! Awesome!
This is why I love your blog, keep up the good work!!!
Thanks so much, Sara! I find that sometimes tabulating the data is much easier than explaining them in paragraphs. :D
I like the idea of the 210
It’s very, very thin! So precise but a bit tricky to use for me! :)
Such a great post, Jaa! I honestly use their angled brush to apply my everyday eyeliner and it works wonderful!

Great to hear, Alice! :D
Your brush reviews are always the best, Jaa. As are your product close-ups. Thanks for the comparison and the chart, this is really helpful.
Thanks so much, Melissa! It means a lot to me! <3
I wish I had a better eyeliner brush…I only really have the one that came with the Maybelline gel pot eyeliner, and although it’s pretty good for what it is, I feel like there is better out there…

You should have told me! I have a few extra ones I could have sent along with your stuff! Next time! :)
